I was thinking about the season finale. John Henry left to go to the future with Cameron's chip. One would assume that Cameron's programming is still somewhere on the chip, even if she is sharing the space with John Henry. This could mean Cameron is still there, with all her knowledge of John Connor and his rise to the resistance leader, if not as an active program, but as an "echo".
Depending on when John Henry/Cameron went into the future (was it 2018 or 2029?) is it possible that John Connor was never John Connor in the particular time line they went to.
Could John Henry/Cameron have gone up in time to assume the identity of John Connor and begin the climb to the top as the leader of the resistance?
Just as the T-1001 assumed the ID of Catherine Weaver, John Henry/Cameron could have gone up in time and started to become the legend that is John Connor.

Throughout the entire series we haven't seen John Connor in Uptime, we have only heard of him, people have spoken of him and followed his directives but no one has seen him.

Could it be that in Uptime John Henry/Cameron went forward, assumed command and began the Rouge Terminator faction as well? And JH/C could have built the Cameron model and downloaded her basic programming to a new chip, and sent Cameron back in time to try and correct the mistakes so the real John Connor could become the leader?

Highly unlikely. As you can tell from Derek, nobody in the resistance in this timeline knows anybody named John Connor.

YES! but actually....the reason u never see john in the future. is because john connor died in the future! cameron came back working with weaver to get john connor back into the future with the new machines that have morals. ofcourse they didnt know him then... i remember in the first movie under the bridge kyle says to sarah some shit like this guy john connor came out of nowhere and is leading us we had no chance before he appeared. it explains it all why he was so important was because he time traveled from that exact time with all of that exact knowledge the whole time travel is a giant loop that cuts directly across its diameter and things change slightly but continue until everything is sorted out in some cosmic way that pleases the balance seeking nature of the universe.
