http://www.amazon.com/Terminator-Salvat ... 28&sr=1-16 Quote: Following the dramatic events of Terminator Salvation, a recovering John Connor grants Barnes permission to return to the destroyed VLA lab and bury his brother, killed in the explosive opening of the movie. At the ruins Barnes and Blair Williams hunt through the debris for the remains of their comrade but instead uncover a mysterious cable leading up into the mountains. The two Resistance fighters head into the wilderness to investigate.
What the pair discovers is an entire village that appears largely untouched by Judgment Day and its aftermath. Suspicious of the villagers, Barnes and Blair decide to dig deeper....
An official novel exploring the post-Judgment Day world of the hit movie Terminator Salvation. Release Date: July 13, 2010

It's nice to see Timothy Zahn doing another novelization, although the premise sounds odd.

Looking at the description, could this village be the hybrid village of the original T4 script? Project Angel etc.?

It would be great if Zahn incorporates the unused elements from T4 into his story - the difference from Brancato and Ferris is that he'll probably spin it into gold.

hmm I dunno, this story about a village not affected by JD seems kinda lame
But then again, it's written by Zahn, so it'll probably be good anyway

But then again, it's written by Zahn, so it'll probably be good anyway I know what you mean. If it's a way to resurrect the hybrid stuff that was dropped from the movie, I have to say I'm skeptical. On the other hand, his previous Terminator novel was really good, so he might very well make something good out of it.

HopeOfTheFuture wrote: Thanks for the heads up. No problemo, lol! I'm not really digging the whole premise because I would've thought that Skynet, just at Timothy Zahn said it did, would roll in and scavenge and "recycle" as much of the destroyed equipment it could. Whether or not Skynet's San Francisco manufacturing and R&D complex was put out of order. Skynet should be able to relocate troops from other locations. I still need to read the Cold War book [almost half-finished with Alan Dean Foster's Terminator Salvation Novel] because the movie really didn't do a great job in representing Skynet's control in places other than the USA. Although during Connor's Radio Broadcast, some Jungle scenes could represent Vietnam here and there [I'd be hard pressed to see a Radio wave go that far], they looked American/English and not a melting pot of backgrounds. Maybe it was the Florida everglades, lol?

Oh what the crap! The release date just got pushed back from July 27th to... August 10, 2010! That sucks. I wonder why stuff like that happens. Did he decided to revise a chapter or is it simply just a printing reschedule. How could we find out stuff like that?
